Red Raspberry Recommendations, Please

Last year we mowed down our 10-year-old raspberry patch of Autumn Bliss. Though I had some raspberries each year, they never really took off. I am considering Polan (but I have heard they are difficult to pick off the plant), Nova, and Kilarney. If anyone has any suggestions, please let me know. Also, if someone could help me decide between summer bearers and fall bearing raspberries, I'm not sure what the benefits of summer bearers would be over the fall bearing raspberries. I make jams and jellies, and have elderberries, a few currants, blueberries, and blackberries also. My fall-bearing Autumn Bliss often ended up in the "End of Summer" jam with the blackberries when there were not enough raspberries for a full batch of jam. Thank you for your help.
