I lived in Atchison,KS in 2006 and 2007 . I loved to drive the long country roads, I enjoy the endless fields of corn. I liked stopping at the country veggie and fruit stands, where you could find freshness at it's best. I also liked going to the Farmer's Market. I would talk with gardners about their love for the soil, you alway knew that they love gardening because they would pass on a secret or two... Here is one about "Supporting Heavily Laden Branches"
When branches are heavily laden with fruits they can be supported individually to prevent them from breaking under the weight. This can be done with loops of rope tied to a stake, or branches can be propped up with a forked stake. For both methods, use padding between branch and support to prevent chafing.
I hope these was helpful...
until next time, may you find your soil rich and ready to sow!
