That is the million dollar question. Just when you think we made it through March, April arrives and really throws us into a tail spin. It is going to get cold tonight and I am fearful that we are going to have some similar freeze damage that we experienced two years ago. The warmer spikes in temperatures have really made plants start to grow. I have many perennials that are busting throught the ground reaching for the sun. All of my Knock-Out roses are full of new growth. So what's a gardener to do? Praying is a good start but covering the things you want to protect with a sheet or plastic would be highly recommended. Remember that if you use plastic keep it from touching the plant. You don't want to have the plant freeze directly to the plastic causing more damage.

Anyone who says that gardening is easy.....is well let's just say wrong. It is challenging and rewarding in so many ways. One of the many reasons I love it! Good luck friends and I hope that all of our plants survive this wild weather :)
