Are the cicada's in your neighborhood getting any quieter? They are in ours do to the appetite of our Beagle, Sam Parker. He is crazy about eating cicadas. I know it sounds crazy but he will come into my office and give me that look, "Hey, I know you are busy and it is really not time for my walk but do you think we could go outside and look for some cicadas?" Seriously we may have to take Sam to cicadas anonymous....Pretty funny! He is especially fond of the ones right out of their shell. Eww...crunch, crunch crunch!

Hello-
Our cocker spaniel loved this time of year. She devoured Cicadas and I swear we could hear them in her belly.

The only real drawback was that she did NOT want to eat her normal food and her intestinal track was not too pleased. This was quite a protein ffix for our cocker!

Good luck

That's my dog Gus, too. His motto, "I can't eat just one!" He has digestive problems, but so far the cicadas seem to not bother him. The most amusing is watching him jump up and catch one in flight. Doggie delicacies!

HAHA! I have two beagles and of them is named Sam, lol. They are old 10 and 11 but still peppy. Guess what? They go cicada and grass hopper hunting. They want to go out in the yard in the evening just to hunt and eat the bugs.
