It is hard to believe that it is 72 degrees today. I am glad to see that the snow has melted away. Hopefully that is the last of it. I am headed outside to do some general pick up. There always seems to be sticks and leaves everywhere. It is probably not the best day to be raking but "oh well". At least I will be outside. I have been meaning to ask everyone, "What are your favorite nurseries or garden centers in the greater Kansas City-area?" Of course I tend to do business with people who help support Savvygardener. Family Tree Nursery in Overland Park is my "go to" place. Probably because I know everyone there and they are always so willing to help. I love to visit Johnson Farms when I don't have Kevin or the kids with me. I love to meander when I am there making sure that I don't miss a thing. They have huge greenhouses, great stock and beautiful hanging baskets. It is hard to come away from there without a car loaded up with plants. Soil Service is closest so if I need something ASAP that's where I am headed. Let me hear from you. I would love to hear why you like one place over another :) Enjoy this wonderful day!

Family Tree Nursery in O.P. is my number one choice. I'm in there often during the spring, summer and fall but I also go in at least once a month in the winter to get my garden 'fix' by feeling the humidity and smelling the damp soil. Suburban Lawn & Garden in Martin City is another favorite. I like their hugh selection and the way they have plants organized. Arnold's in Leroy, KS is worth at least one trip a year because of their large selection and friendly people.
