Acorns anyone?

Look at all of those acorns! Kevin was kind enough to take a turn at helping clean up a wheel barrel full. Unfortunately that was a couple of days ago and if you were to look around today you would never be able to tell that he picked up any at all. I worked outside yesterday continuing the pick up, it really is an on-going job. The acorns continue to fall quickly as if someone is shaking all of the Oaks on and around our property. I keep thinking that the trees have got to be rid of all their acorns soon but it doesn't seem like the drop has even started to subside. The squirrels scurry around trying to carry as many as possible. Much to my dismay they are burying them in my gardens and lawn so they are not much help. I wish I had a good solution to get rid of them but as of now we are picking them up and throwing them away. I am composting some of them but if I were to compost all of them I would not have room in my compost pile for anything else. What a mess!
