About Me:
Hi fellow gardeners!
Friendship is a common home-gown flower, but most uncommon are its growing ways.
I'm looking foward to making friends and sharing how our flowers grow.
I like finding new niches in garding to make it more of a joy then a task.

Keeping Warm...

Posted on March 28, 2009 at 7:00pm 0 Comments

Mr. Winter’s revisit to Texas had my tomatoes and I running for cover. The chill along made me pull out the heating blankets and keeping an eye on the temperature. As for my tomatoes an electric heater and a 1-in layer of sand over soil warming cable keep them happy.

How are you protecting your plants?

I was socked because I had place my order at the garden center.

I was wondering if any one in the savvygardener… Continue

Buy seeds that are disease or pest resistance.

I hope these post… Continue

Just Another Garden Secret...

I lived in Atchison,KS in 2006 and 2007 . I loved to drive the long country roads, I enjoy the endless fields of corn. I liked stopping at the country veggie and fruit stands, where you could find freshness at it's best. I also liked going to the Farmer's Market. I would talk with gardners about their love for the soil, you alway knew that they love gardening because they would pass on a secret or two... Here is one about "Supporting Heavily Laden Branches"

When branches are heavily… Continue
