New forum idea

Hi,How about a forum called: Tips, Techniques and Frugality in the garden?Another forum idea: A seed exchange list. Not only do gardeners buy seeds and use only 1/2 the package but some of us gather seeds from our own plants and it would be a "frugal idea" to have a seed trade, no? What do you think?TinaSee More

About Me:
Hi fellow gardeners,
My gardens are all around the perimeter of my home and fence. Flowers are my passion but I also put in tomatoes. To be able to garden in the winter I have lights set up in the garage to "over winter" my baskets and ceramic pots. Have been gardening about nine years and love it! Have no use for winter and spring is my favorite season, it's so full of promise.

Last day of January was the best!

How many of you took advantage of the 70 degree day we had yesterday? I was out cutting down dead stalks and adding to the compost pile. Loved it! Have a question for anyone who has Powis Castle Artemisia. I was going to cut it down because it was floppy but when I took the first cut it was so green and alive inside that I stopped. Is there a better time to trim it down to the ground? This is my first year with this plant in my garden. Thanks for any help you can give me.
