I planted iris bulbs/tubers that a friend gave me and they came up just fine the following spring without being covered.

Buds and blooms are at risk for damage this weekend. If it gets really cold the foliage could get burnt edges. Ultimately the plant itself will be fine.

need to cover iris for freezing weather?

Hello! I just checked the tables online and am not sure if I need to cover my iris (just planted last fall--not sure if they are "established" yet) over the next couple days? What's your experience? Thanks!

My sister had huge, prolific stands of "Immortality" at her old house--these also reliably repeated even in partial shade. I have had some luck with "Champagne Elegance" as well.
