Sure looks like it could be morning glory.

Mystery Weed!

A friend of mine has this in her yard. She thought she would transplant it, but I dunno, looks a bit invasive weedy to me. If anyone can identify it for me, I would really appreciate it. I thought it was a morning glory relative, but not sure exactly. Thank you very much!

About Me:
I had a neighbor about 10 years ago who let me help her in her garden-- and that's all it took. Hook like and sinker... .I was a gardening goner. When we moved into our new home 7 years ago and I had a clean slate yard that I immediatly began to dig up. Over the years I've killed a lot of plants, redecorated the gardens more time that I will admit, and am just starting to get some shade to work with. Although my 3 kids take up a lot of my time, I sneak out when I can. I'm a cheap, cottage style gardner . I stink at growing grass but really want to go 100% organic this year. I have a lot to learn and hope to get lots of tips here!

Me too-- especially at this time of year, coming on here is pretty low on the priority list, I do get notifications, but to an email I check fairly infrequently!

Anyway-- time got away from me ( as well as the fact that the darn daylillies are STILL blooming.. crazy year). Now I guess, I'll be dividing them in the early fall ( you know, on a day where the kids are in school.. ahh.. it sounds so wonderful!). Wanna get together for a swap ( I could use some hostas... just a couple?... I FINALLY have enough shade to start a shade garden) sometime early Sept? Where does your friend live in Smithville? Don't you work hmm, downtown? I want to say KU med.. is that right? ( I also leave on a trip starting today and I won't be back until Aug 3rd). Take care! Hope you are enjoying the unusual summer!

I would love to! I just divided some burgandy ones last year. I would love some peach!
I am home all the time (it seems!) in weekends. I also belong to a group here in the area doing a plant swap May 17th-I will send you the link. I can't remember if its a yahoo group or Garden Web. Have you been to Garden Web? Its my absolute favorite and where I got my start on message boards. The Midwest Gardening section isn't very active but everything else you could ever think of is there.
