"Heather, I have the same conditions under Red Buds. I have underplanted them with hostas, solomons seal and astillbes with a border of impatiens for color all summer."
I love to work in my flower beds and have mostly shade plants, however, the post-Christmas storm destroyed one of our largest trees in the back yard so I'm going to have to rethink my whole gardening strategy in '09. I'm looking at it as an opportunity to try new things.
Thanks! I think I will! Thats really sweet. Praise God for perennials! I LOVE my garden. I am willing to give away as many lily of the valley as anyone can take! You dig and they are yours!
I am thinking July 10-12. That is a week later than I like but the Regional Convention for the daylily club is 4th of July weekend. I will post the date. I am writing an article for KC Gardener May & June issues on daylilies so the extact date will be in the article.
You know I have heard so much about Arnold's and have met some of the people who work there but have never been. I guess it is time to plan a trip to Leroy. Great to hear from you!

Hi Sandy,
It was great getting to meet you! I love it when we are out and about and our gardening friends introduce themselves to us. I sure hope we get more rain than what we've gotten so far. Drizzle is good but steady is better!
