"I would prune the knock outs now. Pay attention to the direction of the last bud below where you cut to plan growth. Id wait a little longer on the clematis just in case we get a cold snap."

pruning ?

My 3 Rosa "Knock Out" are too big (planted spring '06). Do I follow the same schedule for roses to prune? Your pruning guide said to prune roses Jan or Feb. .... so is that the best time to prune these bushes? I deadhead them through the growing season but have never needed to prune.I purchased Fireworks Clematis (don't know proper name) which flower spring to summer - would Feb/March be best time to prune?thanks so much to anyone that has information for me!See More
