"Yes. At least on the KS side the soil pH is completely wrong for them. Blueberries is a classic case of trying to work against nature. I'd suggest blackberries, which are wild around here, as a fruit that is well adapted to the area."

About Me:
I am a suburban kid from Johnson county. I have a serious interest in organic gardening. I am planning on going to Washington state to get a degree in organic horticulture, I also have a interest in bonsai and hope one day to master that. I am married to my beautiful wife Amanda. She is planning on going get a n.d. in natropathic medicine. I have my own blog that I haven't been on in awhile that i keep of my adventures. I also hope one day to own my own farm one day where I can grow my personal food supply for me and my family.

Answering your question about the herb garden. The answer is...just about everything!! The herb garden was already established by the previous owner when we moved to our home last summer. There are massive plants of thyme, basil, mustard, mint, and other plants I haven't identified yet. Hopefully everything comes back next spring. I cleaned out the garden by cutting back the dried leftovers right before we got hit with our first winter blast and didn't mulch anything. I hope I didn't shock the poor plants by exposing them to the elements. I didn't have an herb garden where we lived before, so I need to learn more about growing and maintaining it.
