Taking down our ash tree. The tree had deveoped a serious fungal disease and needed to be removed. Sad.

@Eve
Thank you both.

The year we moved to our present house, an ice storm took out 30 trees. Even though we still have many trees, we cried as we heard the crashing sounds of the trees breaking and falling. We've saved a little broken apple tree; couldn't save another that had a fungus. You have our sympathy over the loss of your tree.

Loosing a tree is sad. We lost one this winter also, a very big tree. It was one of two in our backyard and provided so much needed shade in the summer. I expect our electric bills to be higher this summer with it gone.
