Anything as close to natural as possible, that is key to a lasting garden from year-to-year! here is some tried and true tips from our 35-yrs of gardening:in Central Missouri:
Sun-loving plants and flowers:
always have your plants that need sun, planted in the "morning sun" area, and they will reward you for it!
they will appreciate a light watering 3 times a day...sprinkle morning with a water soluable feeding, Miracle Grow with a container sprayer hooked onto your hand-held water hose is great, Turn leaves over and nourish them on the underside of the leaves of the top and bottom leaves, these are the "feeders" of plants!----root water for afternoon, and evening
ALWAYS WATER SAME TIMES OF DAY--PROVIDING IT DOES NOT RAIN THAT DAY!
---then powder with sevin after evening water, on their leaves and specialy on their surrounding soil by roots.Use a can with plastic lid with holes punched into it, and do the sevin by hand, taking care not to get onto buds.
more next time!
