We bought a house a few years ago with a cute little weeping cherry tree off the end of the deck. I did a little trimming on it the first couple of years, but then I started worrying that I was doing it wrong. It kind of gets a little wonky and out of control, but I don't want to cut the wrong things. So the last couple of years I kind of let it go. I love the look of it when it blossoms and I want to give it the care it deserves, but I'm terrified of ruining it.
So here's my question... Is there anyone I can hire to just come out and teach me how to take care of it? I don't mind doing the work, but I'd love some consultation. I wouldn't mind paying a little bit to have someone come out and explain to me how it grows and how to maximize its potential. Am I too late? Is there a service out there that does that kind of thing?
You can also check out your local extention office at the county, they have a hot line to answer questions by master gardeners. we had one inour neighborhood so I always refer to her with questions!
