Tiger Eyes Sumac

I have a small (planted last fall) Tiger Eyes Sumac.  It has done great all year until the last month, it's leaves are drying up, dying and falling off.  I don't see any sign of color change for fall.  Not sure what's happening .... too much water, not enough...?
