Growing Peas

Hi, I would like to try planting peas this spring. Has anyone grown the "Wando" variety of English peas in this area? If so, how did it fare in this climate? Are there other varieties of English peas that you would recommend? I'm hoping to be on time this year and plant them mid-to late March. Thank you.
