So, it looks like this week coming up is going to be near 80 with nights in the 50's.  So, it seems like it could be safe to plant out summer veggies.  Would you gamble it?
I know that the first full weekend in May is usually the safe bet but with this weather I don't think I can wait.  What is everyone else's thought?

Well, let's weigh the pros and cons. The ground has warmed up nicely so if you are planting seeds you should be ok. I think that if you go ahead and put vegetables in the ground there is still a slight risk of a frost. But that is easy enough to remedy. You will just have to make sure you give them extra protection. I would have to say at this point I think I might roll the dice and get them in the ground. If the weather stays the way it has been then you have a jump start on the growing season. You heard it from me....plant away!
Thank you!! I have already started acclimating my seedlings to the outdoors so I will definitely be planting soon.
I have plenty of "garden sheets" if there is a threat of frost.
Thanks again Shelly :)
