Dahlia Mosaic Virus (DVM)

Came across this and other related articles, that lead me to believe that the yellowing and utlimate death of about 1/4 of my Dahlias planted last year was do to DVM (see "Dahlia Virus Pictures" and my attached picture from last year).
Does anyone have any experience or access to good information about this Disease?
I dig up the tuberous roots every late fall and replant in spring.  Without other details, I will likely eliminate any plant as soon as it demonstrates similar symptoms.
