Does anyone have a good organic fix for the beatles that are putting all the holes in the leaves? I really have been trying to keep things good but these are killing me. thanks Pat
My book says that if leaves are skeletonized, it's Mexican bean beetles. If holes are large, it's more likely bean leaf beetles. Both can be eliminated with pyrethrin. Neem is an option for bean leaf beetles. Mexican bean beetles are tough critters are harder to get rid of; an organic fix might mean getting parasitic wasps or spined soldier bugs. I'm new to this myself and pretty clueless but that's what my book says. The book is "The Organic Gardener's Handbook of Natural Insect and Disease Control." It's been really helpful to me in identifying damage, insects, and control.
