Let’s celebrate “Grow the Good Life” at the 2012 Kansas City Garden Symposium sponsored by the Garden Center Association of Greater Kansas City and Powell Gardens.
The event is scheduled for 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. on Feb. 18 at The Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art.
Four speakers have been lined up:
Dan Heims, co-founder of Terra Nova Nurseries, which has introduced hundreds of plants in our gardens;
Roy Diblik, owner of Northwind Perennials, a Chicago-area nursery and garden center, who wants to coach you on smart gardening;
Ellen Ecker Ogden, co-founder of the Cook's garden seed catalog and author of four books, including “From the Cook’s Garden” and her newest, “The Complete Kitchen Garden”; and
Andrea Bellamy, author of the 2010 book “Sugar Snaps and Strawberries: Simple Solutions for Creating Your Own Small-Space Edible Garden.”
The cost is $79/person before Jan. 13 and $89/person after.
